Unger Brothers

During the last few decades of the 1800s, silver items like this hairpin case were extremely popular. This case was made by the Unger Brothers from Newark, New Jersey. The company was founded in 1872 as a maker of gold jewelry. They made hairbrushes, jewelry, mirrors, talcum powder canisters, along with many other items.
